What is Floating?

Floating is a practice that takes place in a float tank (Floatation Tank, Float Room/Pod, Isolation Tank, or Sensory Deprivation Tank)

The tank is filled with 10 inches of water and 1000 pounds of Epsom Salt

The water is heated to the temperature of your skin so you forget when the water stops and you begin

The tank is free of sound , light, smell and to a certain degree gravity.

We are living in the most information rich, overstimulating time in human history

Every minute YouTube users upload 48 hours of video, Facebook users share 684,478 pieces of content, Instagram users share 3,600 new photos, and Tumblr sees 27,778 new posts published (DOMO)

Floating allows you to disconnect from the outside world and focus on within.

Without fighting gravity or analyzing external stimulation your brain has more resources at its disposal.

This unique environment free of distraction allows you to experience the mental clarity and focus of  Zen Monk as your brain waves switch to low frequency Theta waves.

Endorphins and dopamine otherwise known as the body’s natural pain killers are released and cortisol the stress hormone is reduced.

It’s likely to be the most relaxing thing you’ve ever experienced.

A creative nursery. A stress free sanctuary. A journey of self discovery

Float therapy has been around for over 40 years and is supported by many scientific studies.

Floating itself  probably originated in the Dead Sea thousands of years ago and is still happening today.

The act of meditation and self discovery is something that is prevalent throughout human history.

Whether it was visualizing the hunt , retreating to the mountains , or developing in the womb

Floating offers a deep connection to our past and is often described as feeling of coming home.
